Recently I found an old pack of balloons sitting around.

The enthusiasm and joy was palpable as I blew them up. And when the girls realized there were three of them!

They were really surprised at the difference between these balloons and the helium ones they’ve had in the past. They came down! They could toss them!

Having them play in the hallway was perfect, as the walls kept their balloons bouncing back to them so they could catch or chase them easily — and not run into furniture (each other, well, that’s another story…).

Who knew such a cheap, easy thing could provide so much entertainment?
And exercise!
The balloons actually lasted for at least a week — and were played with daily.
Eventually, we had to draw faces and names on them with sharpies so that they would stop fighting over whose balloon was whose, but that was an easy fix!
I suppose the novelty will wear off if we do it often, but I am TOTALLY doing this again sometime, soonish!

I deem all Thursdays as Balloon Days! What a great occupation in that perfect area.
I don’t think you can go wrong when balloons are involved. Unless you only have 1 balloon and more than 1 kids, then that’s all kinds of wrong.
Punch balloons are great too! I find them at the dollar store in two packs. You can roll up the end instead of tying it so they can be blown up again.
Roll up the end instead of tying? Tell me more? I can’t picture it. We have had punch balloons once before and they were a hit as well.
