Wordless Wednesday: One Year Ago

Last year, we bought a new Bunny Bun Bun off Craigslist to replace our very dear lost Bunny Bun Bun the First.  BBB II surprised us by being larger and light brown, unlike BBB the First’s small stature and pink fur (the pics looked the same in the ad).  He took some getting used to, but now BBB II is a Very Beloved Bun, much like his predecessor.  I remember this day well, still — it was a great morning!

  • I’m always surprised when people I know find great stuff on Craigslist. I must be searching wrong.

I’m impressed that you were able to find a second Baby BunBun. Good shopping skills! Even if it was the wrong colour.

  • That is one super cute Bunny Bun Bun! I will forever feel guilty for being the cause of my little brother’s lost beloved teddy bear, Teddy, when my brother was 2. We were playing at the duck pond behind our house, and I was impatient to leave and pulled him away before he was ready, and Teddy was inadvertently left behind. We didn’t realize till bedtime, and by then Teddy had vanished, perhaps into the murky depths of the pond. My brother is 25 now, and I still feel sorry for his loss! Several new animals took Teddy’s place, including a bear named Gund (my brother named him straight off the tag!). One day we saw a Teddy in a window, but it turned out to belong to the shop owner and wasn’t for sale.

That was my long story for you. :) Anyway, I’m just glad you found a replacement! I later heard a tip that anytime your child seems attached to a toy or stuffed animal or blanket to quick buy a duplicate and put it away just in case, because the manufacturers often discontinue them. I never have remembered to do that, though! Even though I should really be wiser now.

  • They are such dolls…Bun Bun, too!

    P.S. I use picnik.com for my collages.
