This morning has been toddler vs. mama and they are winning.
Things that have happened:
- peeing on kitchen floor
- dumping sippy of water on living room floor
- standing on chair to pour HUGE amounts of water and ice out of the fridge dispenser onto the floor
- dumping snack(s)
- dumping bib bag
- dumping crayons
- biting each other
- lying on top of & smothering each other while the other screams
- screaming for fun, continually (while I was on the phone, of course)
- screaming and crying, not for fun
- sitting in dishwasher repeatedly (not allowed)
- begging to continually sit on mamas lap
- nursing
What has not happened: any sort of playing by themselves with toys, from 5:30 am until now (11am). None. Could this be related to the fact that they sang and chatted to themselves in their room from 7 to 8pm last night? And then woke at 5:30 as usual? Ha ha.
Right now they are in their rooms having "crib time" — the only place I can leave them in our house without the risk of hurting each other or destroying things when they are in this mood. Once I have myself collected we are going to go shopping before picking Emma up from preschool. I am hoping a change of scenery works. Wish me luck!

NOt that you want to hear this, but did you see the Octo-mom on Oprah being videotaped with her 16 kids during a typical day? YEEEIKES! Your day was a dream compared. I feel for you though.
