So, it happened.
Emma Rae was born on Thurs, May 18th at 4:50pm.
9lbs 3oz, 21 inches long, 9/9 apgars.
I started out trying it w/o meds but ha ha, about halfway through I was ready for a change. Had to get 2 (!) epidurals because the first one didn’t take, ugh! But then a very uneventful last half of labor, hour and 20 minutes of pushing, and finally, a healthy baby girl!
Got home yesterday around 6pm, and have had a good time settling in at home so far. Tired! Sore! But healing well and on the mend. She has quite the sucking reflex…yeowch!
Can’t believe she is in my arms as I type. The world is changed….
